Back Alley, also known as Back Alley Bridge, is a card game with military origins, likely dating back to World War II. It bears similarities to popular games such as bridge and spades.

The primary objective of Back Alley is to win tricks, accumulating points in the process. Players must accurately predict the number of tricks they believe they can achieve; the closer the guess to the actual outcome, without excessive overestimation, the more points are awarded. The game commences with one card in doubles play and two cards in singles play, gradually increasing by one card each round until reaching a maximum of 13 cards. Subsequently, the game returns to fewer cards, mirroring the starting configuration, with the aim of maximizing points by the conclusion.

Back Alley offers two variations: a doubles format for four players divided into two teams, and a singles format accommodating three players. Additionally, players have the option to save their game progress at the end of each deal.
